Since 2018, VC Budapest has been a key part of the global development team responsible for the NBA 2K and WWE 2K series. The studio recently relocated to the wonderful BudaPart neighborhood of Hungary's capital.
WORKING IN BUDAPEST
Flexible work-from-home options are available, but the new office is so welcoming and in such a great location that it makes it tempting to work there full-time. Steps from the beautiful Kopaszi Dike park on the Danube are sports fields, canoe docks, and cycle tracks, along with a delicious selection of riverside restaurants and bistros that make choosing lunch a pleasant quandary.
Outside of work, team-building activities afford opportunities to experience new things together. The team has enjoyed visits to historical towns, escape room challenges, and a picnic on picturesque Margaret Island. Perhaps you'll join for whatever's next!
LIVING IN BUDAPEST
The capital city of Hungary, Budapest is a city steeped in history and culture, famous for its thermal baths, stunning architecture, and vibrant arts scene. The cost of living here is lower than in many Western European cities, and our location in a recently redeveloped area is well-connected to other neighborhoods via public transit.
MARGARET ISLAND
A popular destination for locals and tourists alike, Margaret Island is less than an hour away from the studio via public transport. Attractions dotted throughout this tranquil oasis on the Danube include cycle paths, medieval ruins, and a Japanese garden.
BUDA CASTLE
About an hour's walk downriver from the studio, the imposing Buda Castle offers great panoramic views of the city and is home to eight museums, multiple festivals and events, as well as the National Széchényi Library. A variety of tours are available.
GELLERT FURDO
One of Budapest's most famous thermal baths, Gellert Furdo is housed in a stunning Art Nouveau building that's just a short walk from the studio. In your spare time, relax in a variety of indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, and steam rooms as you soak in the beautiful surroundings.

ADAM JUHASZ
Senior Environment Artist Adam Juhasz joined VC as an Environment Artist working on NBA 2K22. He relishes the combination of artistic and technical problem solving that's involved when turning concept art into in-game assets.
Adam appreciates the professional atmosphere at VC, largely because he feels it's the result of coworkers all striving to produce their best work rather than feeling forced in any way.
His advice for anyone joining the team? "Bring your A game, but don't worry if you mess up now and then; we're a team of helpers."
