WORKING IN SHANGHAI

LIVING IN SHANGHAI
One of the world's most populous and prosperous cities, modern day Shanghai is perhaps best-known for its diverse cuisine and dramatic, ever-expanding skyline. Step outside the centrally located VC China studio though, and you realize that this beautiful metropolis also has a rich history and an abundance of museums and parks.
SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND
Shanghai Disneyland is only a 30-minute drive from the studio and also easily accessible via the city's extensive Metro system. Themed areas surrounding the central Enchanted Storybook Castle include Adventure Isle, Toy Story Land, and the Gardens of Imagination.
TAIKOO LI QIANTAN
Opened in 2021, the nearby Taikoo Li Qiantan shopping complex hosts around 250 different stores and restaurants from around the world. This popular lunch spot for staff also features beautiful green spaces, a movie theater, and even a 450-meter "Sky Loop" running track.
THE BUND
Just a few kilometers from the VC China studio, The Bund historical district is a popular riverside destination for tourists. More than 50 well-preserved colonial-era buildings stand here, offering a stark contrast to the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower across the water.

LIU CHAO
Liu Chao is a Senior UI/UX Artist at Visual Concepts, where he helps shape how players interact with the game—from streamlining complex features to crafting intuitive, player-focused interfaces.
He works hand-in-hand with Artists, Programmers, and Designers to bring ideas to life, always putting the user experience front and center.
"I love seeing how our collaboration turns into something players respond to with excitement," he says.
One of Liu’s proudest achievements is developing a consistent, high-quality UX process that aligns seamlessly with game design.

Off the clock, Liu hits the court as a passionate basketball player, staying just as active as the game worlds he helps build.
